Minneapolis Residence

Project overview

This project involves the design and execution of a new single-family home for a family of four. The site is located in a suburban neighborhood with a mix of traditional and modern homes, and the goal of the project is to create a modern and sustainable home that is both functional and beautiful.

Concept

The design prioritizes a seamless flow between spaces while providing a dedicated healing environment tailored to the needs of Ojibwe women. Rooted in cultural sensitivity and holistic well-being, the home integrates open, interconnected spaces that encourage movement and connection alongside intimate areas for reflection and restoration. Natural materials, soft transitions, and elements inspired by Ojibwe traditions create a nurturing sanctuary where women can find comfort, strength, and healing within their daily lives.
